Saturday, 5 December 8:30 a.m. (NEW TIME)
Semiahmoo County Park 2.5 miles RT Easy
This level hike will be done in conjunction with the North Cascades Audubon Society chapter, which conducts a birdwatching tutorial here every first Saturday. Semiahmoo Spit is notable for its location on the Pacific Flyway route for many species of migratory birds. We will amble along the beach and a paved trail, with views of both Boundary Bay and Drayton Harbor. After the walk, we will sample the brunch at Semiahmoo Resort.
We assemble at the St. Paul’s parking lot at 8:30 a.m. and carpool to our trailhead destinations. If you prefer, meet us directly at the trailhead approximately 30 minutes later. Bring water, a snack or lunch, and wear comfortable shoes suitable for walking.
