Join us this coming Saturday, December 6 for a leisurely and level walk along the beach at Semiahmoo Spit. We plan to meet up with the North Cascades Audubon chapter that morning for their monthly "birding for beginners" walk along this unparalleled location for winter migratory birds.
We will carpool from the St. Paul's Church parking lot at 0830, much earlier than our typical start for a Saturday hike. For those who live in the northern part of the county, you may wish to meet us at the parking lot at Semiahmoo County Park at 0900. The hike itself will be about 2 miles along level ground (there is a paved pathway in addition to a pebble beach for walking). After about two hours of walking and birding we also plan to have brunch at the reopened Semiahmoo Resort.
See you on Saturday, Erik.
