August 13, 2017 - Sometimes we need to say to Jesus: "Save me!"

Marsha sat down to write this sermon with a heavy heart. She felt weighed down by recent events, both local and national. How to explain this? Is there any explanation?

She remembers her charge as a priest: "In all that you do, you are to nourish Christ's people from the riches of his grace, and strengthen them to glorify God in this life and in the life to come."

How can she nourish others when her spirit is challenged and her energy is low? Where is God in all of this? She struggles to find the strength, but knows that it is up to her and to all Christians to rise above the despair; to stop wandering around in the dark night of the soul.
