March 31, 2019 - The parable formerly known as "The Prodigal Son"

Jesus is talking to the Pharisees, who are usually held up as an example of how not to be a Christian. But Jesus always knew how to communicate with his audience in the manner most effective to them, and also to pack much wisdom into every story.

Could this be called: “The Prodigal Father”, or “The Envious, Resentful Brother”, or even “The Father Reconciling Estranged Siblings”? As usual, there are layers of meaning in this familiar tale.
