OUR MISSION STATEMENT: The Youth Ministry of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church connects youth to the traditions of the Christian faith, inspires them to delight in the love of God, bears witness to their transformation in the Holy Spirit, and sends them forth to extend the love of Jesus Christ to the world.

Nicole Pridachuk, Director of Youth Ministry

Bridge is a unique youth program just for students in grades 5-8 at St. Paul’s. It’s called “Bridge” because the program serves as a bridge between Godly Play and high school Sunday School programs. We meet most Sunday mornings during the school year at the 10:30 Eucharist. Bridge teachers and youth sit together during the service (look for the reserved youth pews!), then depart right after communion to share a lunch, a lesson, service, and fun.

“I like sitting with my friends in church. We all have to turn in our phones, but it makes me listen to the sermon. I feel like I understand the Bible readings better now.” -Bridge participant

Middle school youth can be dropped off by their parents, or parents can attend church and coffee hour at the same time kids are in Bridge. Parents may pick up their youth from 12:30-12:45 pm.

All middle school youth are encouraged to try out Bridge!

WHAT MAKES OUR BRIDGE YOUTH PROGRAM UNIQUE?

✓ We meet on Sunday mornings to accommodate busy family schedules.

✓ We combine worship, Sunday School and fellowship all in one meeting time.

✓ Parents, grandparents, and siblings all have program offerings at the same time

The Bridge is a unique Youth ministry Program for youth Grades 5 and up. We meet in the Sanctuary (you might hear some Episcopal folk call it “the Nave”) for worship at 10:25 AM. Keep an eye out for us in the “Youth Pew.” Youth are welcome to sit with the group or their families.

We depart for youth group directly following communion (about 11:30 AM). We head up to rooms 209-210 for lunch, discussion, bible study, fellowship, and fun. Our weekly topics are varied and age appropriate. All ages of youth meet at the same time—we have a separate space for middle schoolers and high schoolers. Newcomers are ALWAYS welcome. Parents and younger siblings can enjoy fellowship, snacks and play in the Great Hall and open gym while the Bridge meets.
